Magnetics
Master volume and tone through a jack socket as normal, the kill switch has to be toggled to turn on the battery, and therefore the guitar, however make sure to turn the switch off when you are done so you don’t drain the battery.
The neck pickup is isolated from the rest of the controls and is only really useful when used as a boost for the sustainer. The neck pickup is controlled by a mini-toggle that turns it on and a volume potentiometer to control the output. When using the sustainer start with the volume pot at zero when the switch is turned on, on full you will have feedback.. this is a sensitive control.
Sustainer
The sustainer is turned on with the mini toggle and the sustainer volume control adjusts the intensity. The neck pickup is used to adjust the tones on the sustainer and gives a more interesting tonal aspect than the standard options. The piezo can also make this system sound interesting and is worth playing with.. there are also mini pots on the pcb board of the sustainer that effect the tonal characteristics of the system.
Piezo
The piezo is routed through to the jack output and is selected using the piezo/mix/mag switch and the volume potentiometer. The master output can be adjusted with a mini pot mounted on the pcb board in the control cavity, this is to adjust it to match the magnetic output. It can also be used in conjunction with the sustainer. The mid cut/boost switch does as it says for the piezo system.
MIDI
The MIDI only works with a 13pin din socket, though both piezo and magnetic signals are also routed through this cable when it is plugged in. The cable also powers the system so when this is used there is little drain on the battery. MIDI is selected with the MIDI/mix/magnetic toggle and the volume pot controls the MIDI output. All other outputs are controlled as described above. On the 13 pin socket there is a mini switch that selects pre-programmed settings for either Roland or Axon synthesiser. The MIDI up/down switch controls the selection on the synth. When using the magnetic sounds through the synthesiser they must be routed to a different amp than the MIDI sounds.. a stereo system..
