..and the dust reigns supreme.. the routing begins on Mark B's slimline..

the cavities are pre-drilled on the pillar drill prior to routing

..and once the routing begins it goes just a little wrong when a bearing explodes!!.. what can you do??

..hollow..

the control cavity is roughly cut to size with a jigsaw.. this saves creating about half a pound of dust..

the final body shape is routed out using a replacement bearing cutter..

which then needs cleaning with router fluid and sharpening with a diamond file..

..and here she is ready for a top..

the rain comes down.. Jasper is really not a fan of water!! .. he developed a bit of a phobia after falling into the pond on day

on to Daves custom guitar.. multi-laminate rosewood neck, ebony fingerboard with a flamed English walnut body.. the outline is routed..

and then the top planed flat..

the Big Leaf Flamed maple cap is cut roughly to size

and then glued in place.. with many clamps..

On to Nevio's custom Slimline model.. the sides of the neck are squared off..

the back flattened

and the front if the body prepared.. after routing the control cavities of course..

the tone-chambers are next and then a sharp knife is used to mark out the position of the neck joint..

after routing the fit if the neck is double-checked..

and then the deep-set-neck-tenon is glued in place

..I love these poppies.. very pretty..

..two new bits of RAM go into the laptop.. much improving the useage.. however the next four hours were spent trying to print off some shipping documents!! There is nothing worse than a computer sabotauging half a day for no good reason!!! GRRRR!!!

Fabio's seven-stringer has the body shape routed

and then it's on to Fred's Slimline/hollow composite... the center line is worked out.. (the most important part if a build is getting the center line correct!)
