1

Here's where I left off last night..

2

the pillar drill is set up to drill to within 3mm of the top of the ...top...?

3

which gives me a definite depth to carve to..

4

like so..

5

and then she's tided up with a small violin makers plane from my other life..

6

the first soundhole is cut

7

the design is fixed on with double-sided tape  (I find myself to be somewhat of a connoisseur of double-sided tape now days!)

8

and here she is... should be a fun one!

11

at lunch I realise that the cat loves Marmite!!! Can you believe it?

11

On to trying (being the operative word here) to make an accurate control knob for Charlies bass..

12

without a lathe this is not quite as easy as I had hoped..

11

it's also neccessary to wear protection..

13

my view through those, rather cool, workshop goggles..

14

and here without..

13

on to the bandsaw, I'm doing this the hard way now..

15

a circle big enough to shape into the two neccessary controls is cut out ready for work tomorrow..

the rest of the day was unfortunately spent finalising this years, rather complex, tax returns.. all the while fighting the urge to firebomb my former accountants office!!  (I've left that at the imagination stage..of course)

All my best,

Ben
