Well, this looks to be a really short diary entry.. the fact of the matter is that the final sanding of a guitar takes a really long time and is not particularly photogenic!

and here you see just a portion of the sand paper and disks used..

and this is one of my favourite bits, applying the finish just brings out the grain of the wood

and the almost-bass starts to come into her own!

three coats of acrylic sealer later and she is left to hang from the ceiling for the weekend.

.. in between coats I had to visit a local timber-yard to pick up wood for my fire, and ended up spending two hours going through their, very very muddy, yard looking at trees! .. I ended up with a trunk load of fire-wood and tears in my eye.. most of the wood was beautifully spalted beech that had already been chainsawed to firewood sizes! So depressing!!
