First thing the new pickups for the red acrylic guitar arrive

they are so clear and crisp that they will pick up the colour from the cavities perfectly.. Andy at Wizard has excelled himself!

she is rough carved now and I mark out where I think the back 'belly carve' should be.. this is more difficult on transparent guitars as you'll be able to see it from the front and it needs to cmoplement all other carving there... we'll see once sje's polished up a bit!

the grinder is brought to bear and we end up here

after using the random orbital sander for an hour I have to call it a day... the repetitive sanding/grinding over the last few days has buggered my back up and I just can't stand at that angle and concentrate on what I'm doing..

by Saturday I'm feeling a bit healthier.. and i need of a change of pace... the bench set up..

as it stands is very well organised for me.. but needs a change..

Archie, my Scottish friend and collector arrives to give me a hand, and a hole is ripped in the wall above where the bench was

and a window is installed... recycled from a friend who is rebuiling his house in the next village..

after everything is put back together it starts to look amazing... I'll end up with a good amount of natural light, even through the grey nastiness of an English winter..

and have a lovely view of the surrounding fields

including ponies..

and even some sheep! .. I love living in the country!
I will be back at full strength on Monday I hope..
All my best,
Ben
